Gbenga DadeMatthews, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the School of Kinesiology at LSU. He obtained his bachelor鈥檚 in physiology, medical training, and family medicine residency rotations in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a clinician-scientist with over a decade of general medical practice and primary care sports medicine experience. Before joining LSU as faculty, he completed his PhD in Kinesiology at the Auburn 九九福利网 School of Kinesiology Warrior Research Center. He has researched performance optimization, exertional heat injuries, prosthetic device satisfaction, and health-related quality of life in the tactical athlete populations.

Dr. DadeMatthews has authored peer-reviewed articles on military medicine and complementary medical therapies. As a strong advocate of physical activity and integrative health, he鈥檚 passionate about exercise, human performance, and basic medical science. He is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine, Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, American Physiological Society, and Human Anatomy & Physiology Society.
