Dr. Eliana Pizarro earned her doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Behavior Analysis from the ¾Å¾Å¸£ÀûÍø of Florida under the mentorship of Dr. Tim Vollmer and her master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences from the ¾Å¾Å¸£ÀûÍø of Maryland Baltimore County under the mentorship of Dr. John Borrero. She has provided behavior-analytic services to individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families in various settings (e.g., clinics, schools, hospital programs) and has held a variety of clinical leadership positions since she initially became a board-certified behavior analyst in 2014. Dr. Pizarro specializes in the assessment of severe challenging behavior and function-based interventions to promote adaptive behavior; these are the foci of her current clinical research. She is passionate about mentoring students and strives to provide a training environment that embraces a framework of compassionate care and cultural humility. Dr. Pizarro regularly publishes peer-reviewed journal articles and serves as a reviewer for behavior-analytic journals.
